WASWE performed an evening outdoor concert on 6 February 2009 at the Maylands Peninsula Golf Course. The evening started with the Swing Band getting some of the crowd on their feet, and as the night progressed the Wind Ensemble took over and played to an increasingly wind-blown but appreciative audience. The event was sponsored by the City of Bayswater.
